aaahhhh...the holidays are here!

This is before...during...

and after...
Reese peed in his stocking. (Sure, I know what you're thinking; how and why did this happen!? Well, Reese wouldn't fit in his stocking with his diaper on, so he had just filled it up, and we thought we were safe).

Happy Thanksgiving!
Reese loved listening to Grandmom tell her story. (Probably because she used words like SHRimp, SHRed, SHRiek, SHRill, SHRink, SHRub, and SHRine - that was for you smed, we missed you guys).

Reese wanted to be part of the action, he did so good.
Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all we can imagine...according to His will...for His Glory - for this Ryan and I are so Thankful.

Friends, Family, Fun

Someone's having too much fun with Grandma Guthrie and Papa-"razzi"

Great Grandmom and Grandpop "trying" to turn Reese into a Cowboy's fan.

This is so sweet; Ryan took us to Southlake Townsquare to walk around, this picture just makes my heart smile.

Reese and I were out shopping with our friend Amy (shanks estes - shout out) and we came across this little establishment, it made us laugh, there are even hours posted on the window.

Eating lunch at the Twisted Root in Deep Ellum with Amy and her family - thank you all.

Reese is 5 Months old!

Reese's 5 Month "photo shoot"

Worthless wanted to be in the shot...

I want to know what he is thinking.

Reese's Halloween Dilemma

Reese can't decide what to be for Halloween: A: glow in the dark skeleton with Annaliese
B: white trash with a mullet

(that's the cutest mullet I've ever seen - can you use those two words in the same sentence)?

C: the thinker (don't hurt yourself Reese)

D: the homecoming king dressed up as a zebra at the murder mystery party (thanks Nicole B.)

She's Here!

Finally our friend Annaliese Brylee Coates has arrived - October 20th! And this is Reese drooling on her...nice.

Friday, October 16, 2009

This is what happens when you have an accident in your pants and you have already used up your spare change of clothes. Lucky for Reese his new friend Annaliese Brylee Coates (soon to be here) let him borrow a onesie.
He's still cute, although I think Ryan is having a harder time being convinced of that.
and this picture just makes me laugh...ryan and i are still trying to figure out what the banana has anything to do with.

The Best Week of Reese's Life

This week was a celebration (I guess) of Reese's fourth month of life. Everyday, we have done something really fun and exciting. Monday was the pumpkin patch, which was a big hit as you will see in the following photos. Tuesday was Whirly Ball day, for those of you who don't know what that is, I will have a few pictures in two weeks of what that is. But for those of you who do know, you understand how much fun we must have had. It's a long story but somehow Reese (and when i say Reese, I really mean my mom and me) got to be a fill in for one of the guys at the men's whirly ball night. Wednesday was the State Fair of Texas, Thursday was Ladies Western night bunco (and Beth's house of course to play with our little friend Zoe) and of course Friday was Reese's actually 4 month day. Please enjoy as much as we have!

Too much fun in the pumpkin house.

This should be a calendar, well at least that's what I think anyway.

This is Reese's 4 month picture...happy birth-day buddy!

Reese's first Texas State Fair on Wednesday with our favorite George and Mindy.

So far, so good, and we haven't even made it to the food yet!

Two of our favorite things - fried twisted potatoes and fried bacon; can it get any better!?

Enjoying fried butter (that's what I said...fried butter) with Mindy.

Posing with Borris The III...don't ask!

Eating funnel cake at the state fair.

Reese: looking too cool in his glasses (if i do say so myself, i am his mother afterall).

Mindy's nursery for Annaliese Brylee Coates...any day now!

Arizona Activities

Here are a few of the things that occupied our time on vacation: The cousins watching a movie together.
Reese's first time in a pool!
(He wasn't quite sure about all that, but very slowly, he got used to the water.

What is there to say.

Emet's too cute.

Swimming of course, we are, afterall in Arizona.
Playing with Evi.

Reese was happy to be the only boy at Janet's all girl baby shower.

This is "Batmo" or "Elman" depending on how you look at it (a nice combination though of batman's cape and elmo's underwear), and Zoe is just being Zoe.

Reese's first trip to In-N-Out Burger. Yummmmmm!

Sweetest Nieces

So my nephew and nieces came to pick us up at the airport in Arizona; and they were so sweet to bring Blanch and Carla with them! (Thanks Evi)

Evi and Zoe did a great job of entertaining Reese.

Rees'e First Airplane Trip

We tried to check him, but they wouldn't let us.

He did great on the plane and earned his wings.

Our little Poser

A picture's worth...

Just an update

This is how Reese feels about shopping with mom!But he loves his carrier...
and bath time!

He already looks so grown up!

This is his ET phone home look.

Someone really wants the hushpuppies at "Little Pete's" restaurant on lake Grapevine.
(ok...it was me).

Trying to be like dad on the boat!

More fun and games...

although he gets mad when Gmom plays the wrong domino...
he likes to tell her how to do it.

First time wakeboarding!

you know how Gmom is, gotta have your boat hat on!
ok, maybe not wakeboarding yet, but holding on to the rope is a good start.

some family time

I have a feeling this is the best we are ever going to get with all the boys!
I love this one, Reese fell asleep like this.

Just plain Cute and Sweet

Happy 10th Anniversary

Ryan and I celebrated our 10th Anniversary on July 31st; here are a few of our gifts to each other. This is by far my favorite Gift! Praise the Lord

First Snow Cone

Another Guthrie tradition - the best snow cone on earth!

Reese didn't want dad's plain strawberry, he wanted margarita and blue coconut.

First Time to Church

Lucky for Ryan and me, church was giving away stuff the day we went.

Game Time

Daddy is such a newb.
so is Gmom...

I had to tell her what cards to play when we were at Grandmom and Grandpop's!

First Documented Smile

Get ready...

Wait for it...

Almost there...

Stay on target...

Now that I have dad wrapped around my finger, phase one is complete!
By The Way:
You can have him if you can name the movie playing in the background

Family Time with the Yates'

Cousin Emet holding baby Reese in their "coordinating ensembles"...by the way, bricks and foreheads do not make a good combination.
Gmom, Evi, and Reese watching fireworks on Lake Grapevine.

Our "car trip" to the Gaylord Hotel. We had our picture taken in front of the Alamo...

in the infamous words of Zoe - don't forget the Alamo or "allamos girls".

Cousin Evi and Zoe holding the babies.

Poppy's 6oth surprise party!

First Pappasitos Trip

This is Reese's first trip to Pappasitos...while this may not seem like a big deal to most of you, this is our favorite and frequented restaurant that is/has been a long and glorious tradition in the Guthrie household.

First Boat Trip

Reese really likes boating...
(This is Reese's nickname -
Little Shark or Silly Shark)

and looking cool...

and driving...

but mostly sleeping!

First Real Bath

Someone is not so sure about all of this!

Happy 4th of July

Everyone was gone for the 4th of July, so this is how Reese and I spent the holiday!

Happy Father's Day and time with Dad!

Four generations! We are sadly missing Papa though!

Someone's learning how to facebook...or play a video game.

These are a few of OUR favorite things

Worthless and Gary have yet to be amused.

Prouder Parents

Gram (Ryan's mom), Gmom (my mom), Poppy (my dad), and Pappa-razzi (Ryan's dad...he earned his name by taking more pictures of the baby than we had by day two).

Proud Parents

In a very humbling way that is. We were both laughing and crying at the same time.

Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this picture! Ryan took it just as Reese was making his grand entrance into the world. You can already see his little personality - this cracks me up!

First!

First attempt at blogging, have to get up to speed so friends and family not on facebook can see Reese grow up.
